Thursday of week 32 in Ordinary Time

Reflecting on today’s readings, the sentence “For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you” is what caught my attention. I wrestled with this some, wondering what Jesus means by this.
I returned to today’s reading from Wisdom and found myself truly attracted to the imagery presented there. This feminine face or image of God spoke to my spirit. Wisdom is holy, unique, subtle, beneficent, kindly, fairer than the sun. This is someone I desire to be in relationship with. This is someone I desire to follow. Is this the Christ that lives within me? In my prayer, the answer “yes” came to me. Wisdom, this face of God, lives within me and I am invited to be in relationship with her. I am invited to let her face shine and be a pure effusion of the glory of the Almighty.
