Saint Francis of Assisi

Is there any other saint who enjoys as much popularity as Francis of Assisi? Google his name and over 7 million results become accessible. Many people today falsely think of St. Francis as a sandal-wearing, whose greatest heritage was in gracing birdbaths everywhere. Rather, St. Francis lived a life of radical conformity and divine union to the sacrificial life of Christ.
Today’s Gospel reading from Luke might be considered one of the more direct. In his expression of disappointment to those do not listen to the ones Jesus has sent in his name, whose hearts are “hardened” to his Word.
